Hands on: Vacheron Constantin Overseas 4500V/110R-B705

Of the ‘Holy Trinity’ of watch brands the one that is often forgotten is Vacheron Constantin. Despite creating the most complicated watches of the three and being the oldest continuously operating manufacturer, Vacheron’s presence on the secondary market is often overshadowed by the likes of the Royal Oak and the Nautilus. We wanted to shed some light on the stunning rose gold Overseas we recently had the pleasure of sourcing (4500V/110R-B705).

The Vacheron Constantin Overseas is the brand’s answer to the Royal Oak & Nautilus; a sporty, integrated bracelet watch that is available in multiple materials, with a plethora of dial options and complications. The immediate draw is the visual appeal; the deep, rich blue against the warm rose gold inherently makes the watch feel slightly more ‘dressy’ vs an equivalent, say, rose gold, blue dial Royal Oak. 

This is absolutely transformed, once changed via a very handy and simple ‘on the go’ strap swap system built in, when put onto the blue leather or rubber strap (both that come with the watch as standard), instantly transforming it into a truly sporty, streamlined piece. Being only 11mm thick, the versatility to not only swap the strap out in seconds, but be comfortable in this watch both in a suit or while in casual attire, is unmatched. 

Unlike many similar integrated bracelet watches, the Vacheron Constantin Overseas also wears true-to-size at 41mm. Want more of a presence on your wrist, or suiting up for a fancy event? Quickly snap it onto the 18K rose gold bracelet. Want to maintain that effortless elegance or keep it casual? Snap on the blue rubber or leather and enjoy the remarkable comfort.
