Year / serial: 1980 – c. 280 Apollo XI Speedmasters were made between 1980-1988. This Model was released to commemorate both the Apollo 11 mission and the re-qualification of the Speedmaster for the Space Shuttle program.
Condition: Immaculate condition with superficial signs of wear
Features: Chronograph. Limited Edition of c. 280, tachymetre, full gold case, bracelet and dial, the first exhibition caseback to be on an Omega Speedmaster.
Movement: Omega cal. 861L manual wind chronograph movement. ‘L’ stands for ‘Luxurious’ as this movement has 19 Jewels vs the normal 17 as well as being Rhodium Finished – another speedmaster first. The watch is currently running within modern Omega timekeeping tolerances.
Case / bezel: 42mm (excl. crown) 18k Gold case with black tachymetre bezel – Type B2
Dial / hands: Gold Dial with black applied hour markers with black lacquered hands
Bracelet: Gold Speedmaster bracelet fitting up to a c. 8 Inch Wrist
